I also never experienced this slowdown problem mentioned above. I've been running DD-WRT on my 150N since the v.24 RC6 and I would not say it's unstable or anything. Or does it come pretty much ready? I did all this this evening so I don't know how 'Stable' this is but I will edit later to try and update. I didn't see any differences in the Lan Speeds so I can't really comment on that part, but I can say that this little trick it did help what I was having problems with.

Can't tell if mac address cloning is pends on your ISP. I would set the router to 192.168.1.5, to make sure it is on the same subnet as the modem.

You might have to put your modem in bridged mode, and let your router handle dhcp. I am not great, or even good, with modem connections.
